When it comes to keeping the children entertained there are plenty of places to visit in the surrounding area. Here’s just a few:
Fishers Farm Park
Fishers Farm Park offers fantastic fun for all the family and is just a 10 minute drive from the site. We recommend spending a whole day here as there is plenty to do from tractor rides to animal shows/feeding. To find out more please visit www.fishersfarmpark.co.uk
Petworth Park
Located in the South Downs National Park, Petworth House is surrounded by a 700 acre deer park. Here you will find the largest herd of fallow deer in England. There are endless opportunities for walking and they regularly host children’s events throughout the year. In the summer months families can pick up a free treasure bucket of games to use when out in the grounds. For up-to-date information on events please visit https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/petworth-house-and-park
The picturesque market town is also worth having a look around. It is home to an array of unique shops as well as being famous for its antiques. After a day of exploring it’s also the perfect place for a pitstop. We would recommend the Hungry Guest Cafe and Deli and Coco Cafe and Sugar Lounge for a bite to eat. https://discoverpetworth.uk
Arundel Wetland Centre
The Wetland Centre is 30 minutes from the site and is set in the very pretty town of Arundel. There’s lots to entertain the children here including taking a trip on the boat safari to spot the water voles and hand feeding rare geese. For further information please take a look at https://www.wwt.org.uk/wetland-centres/arundel/ Also here is Arundel Castle, set in magnificent grounds overlooking the River Arun. https://www.arundelcastle.org/
The Coast
We’re very lucky to be just an hour from the coast. The sandy beach of West Wittering is great for a traditional bucket and spade day out or as a starting point for a walk around East Head. https://www.westwitteringbeach.co.uk/
Goring Beach is another sand and shingle beach located near Worthing, 40 minutes from the site. The beach is pebble at high tide and then flat compact sand as the tide retreats. https://www.thebeachguide.co.uk/south-east-england/west-sussex/goring-beach.htm
Birdworld
Located in Farnham, Birdworld has lots on offer to guarantee a fun day out. They have over 2000 animals and hold daily events such as penguin feeding and outdoor flying displays. https://birdworld.co.uk/
I hope the above gives you some inspiration when planning your stay with Glamping Holiday. There are also plenty of information leaflets inside each tent if you are still undecided on arrival!
